FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Starlink service and how ordering through an independent authorized reseller works.

Are you Starlink?

No. Satellite Internet Connect is an independent authorized reseller. We are not Starlink or SpaceX, and we are not owned by or affiliated with either company. Starlink provides the service under its own terms; we help you choose a plan and place your order.

What does “independent authorized reseller” mean?

It means we are a separate business that is authorized to sell Starlink service. We talk with you about your needs, check availability for your address, and help with the order. The service itself, its pricing, and its terms come from Starlink.

Do you charge extra?

Starlink sets the prices for its service and hardware. Before you place an order, we go over the amounts that apply to your address — equipment, shipping, and taxes included — so you know what to expect, and you can ask us anything about them first.

Is Starlink available at my address?

Availability depends on your exact address and on network capacity in your area, and it can change. We don’t offer an online lookup on this site. Call us and we’ll check your address with you, with no obligation.

How do I order?

Call (888) 704-9965. We confirm your address, talk through which plan fits, and help you place the order. Your service is with Starlink, under Starlink’s terms.

What plans are available?

Starlink offers Residential, Roam, and Business service. Residential is for a fixed home address, Roam is for travel and portable use, and Business is for commercial use. The plans and their terms are set by Starlink and can change.

How much does it cost?

Prices for service and hardware are set by Starlink, differ by plan and location, and can change, so we don’t list them from memory. Call us for current pricing in your area. Taxes, equipment, shipping, and any demand-based fees may apply.

How fast is Starlink?

Starlink publishes speed and latency information for its network, and describes it as “up to” figures that vary by plan, location, and time of day. We don’t promise specific speeds. Call us and we’ll explain what Starlink says for your plan type.

What comes in the kit?

Starlink kits typically include a dish, a Wi-Fi router, cables, and a power supply, but contents vary by plan and hardware generation. We’ll tell you what Starlink lists for the option you choose.

Can I install it myself?

Starlink designs its kit for self-installation using the Starlink app. The dish needs a clear view of the sky, so where you place it matters. If you have questions about your roof or property before you order, ask us and we’ll point you to Starlink’s placement guidance.

Is there a contract?

Starlink has offered Residential service without a long-term contract, but terms are set by Starlink and can change by plan and location. We’ll confirm the current terms with you before you order and link you to Starlink’s terms.

Can I use it in an RV or while traveling?

Starlink offers Roam service for portable use. Where it works and how it behaves while traveling is up to Starlink’s coverage and rules. We can walk you through what applies to the places you plan to go.

Do you help businesses and farms?

Yes. We help small businesses, farms, ranches, and remote facilities choose a Starlink Business option and place the order. Tell us about each location and we’ll check availability for each address.

About Business plans →

How long does the kit take to arrive?

Shipping time depends on Starlink’s inventory and your location. We’ll share what Starlink shows when you order. Shipping is handled according to Starlink’s policies.

What if Starlink isn’t available at my address?

We’ll tell you what we find during the check. If service isn’t offered at your address right now, there’s no obligation to order, and you can call back later since availability changes.

Who do I contact about my service after I’m set up?

Starlink directly. Once your service is active, manage your account and ask questions through the Starlink app or your Starlink account. We help new customers choose and order service; we don’t provide ongoing technical or account help for existing service.
